INTRODUCTION |

Buffer, a software company that offered a product that scheduled or queued up tweets or messages on social media, was co-founded by Joel Gascoigne (Joel) and Leo Widrich (Leo). They steered the company through its product development and launch phases (2010-11). During the period 2015-2016, Joel faced a number of challenges, including differences of opinion with Leo, funding limitations, and eventually the exit of Leo and Chief Technical Officer Sunil Sadasivan (Sunil).
